Start With the Right Destination

This site documents ExifToolGui but does not develop it, so questions get answered fastest where the developers and community actually are:

1. A bug in ExifToolGui Crashes, a tag written incorrectly, or the map pane not loading — report it in the FrankBijnen GitHub issues. Include your GUI version (for example V6.3.12), whether you used the installer or a portable build, your Windows version, and the steps that reproduce the problem.
2. A question about ExifTool itself Tag names, syntax and conversion behaviour are ExifTool questions, not GUI questions. Ask on Phil Harvey’s ExifTool forum, where ExifTool behaviour is discussed directly.
3. A correction to this website This site publishes no support inbox and runs no help desk, so there is no address that promises a reply. Factual corrections about the software are best raised in the two channels above, where the maintainers can verify them; corrections are then reflected when pages here are updated.

Never include passwords, licence keys or original photo files in a public issue. Describe the problem and, if a sample file is needed, create a small test file for that purpose.
